Secure Remote Access
Last updated on April 9, 2026
Multi-Factor Authentication is great. You define the authentication methods for your users to choose from and it just works. But what if you wanted to enforce different methods of authentication on different integrated applications? Better yet, let’s say you’ve got a list of networks you trust and would like to bypass login requests that came from one of such networks. Perhaps you would like Rublon MFA to allow users to skip Multi-Factor Authentication when logging into Cisco VPN but not when logging into MikroTik. Wouldn’t it be amazing if such adaptive authentication were possible?
Consider yourself lucky as we at Rublon already have a solution to the adaptive authentication challenge.
Introducing Policies, a brand-new way to manage how your users authenticate. Policies grant you the power to take full advantage of Adaptive Authentication. With Policies, you easily define custom policies and apply them to one or more integrated applications or user groups. Controlling Authorized Networks and Remembered Devices of your users is a piece of cake. Customize, adapt and conquer with Rublon MFA Policies!
Use Rublon MFA Policies to:
- Control your users’ authentication per application or user group.
- Create and assign powerful Custom Policies.
- Define a list of authorized networks to bypass MFA.
- Manage your users’ remembered devices.
- And MORE.
“Rublon MFA provided us with an affordable solution that meets our compliance obligations, while enhancing our organization’s security posture and making security easy for our development teams.”

Always Be One Step Ahead – Enforce Rublon MFA Policies Now
Rublon MFA Policies is our answer to the demand for an easy and flexible Adaptive Authentication system.
Make Your Users’ Login Experience Flexible
If you have many integrated applications, sooner or later you will need to create custom policies for each. Every application is different so it requires a different approach to authentication. Rublon MFA Policies gives you the means to approach adaptive authentication in a modern and effortless way, using smooth and user-friendly GUI.
Use Convenient Global Policy
When an application is first created, it is assigned the Global Policy. Global Policy applies to all integrated applications unless overridden with a Custom Policy. The Global Policy is great if you want to change the initial settings for all integrated applications.
Improve Your Compliance
Satisfy PCI DSS and improve your ISO/IEC 27001, NYDFS and NAIC compliance with Rublon MFA. Rublon MFA will help you to comply with all security regulations and standards by enabling a modern, adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication solution on all applications.

Decide Which Authentication Methods Will Be Available
Define which authentication methods users can use to access their applications. Need to require IT admins to use hardware keys, while regular users can use a mobile app? No problem! Need to disable a particular authentication method for a specific user group? You can do it! Want to set one of these authentication methods as default so that it is automatically selected during each login? You can do that. Rublon MFA Policies allow you all that and more.

Enhance User Experience and Decrease Login Fatigue
Allow users to remember their devices for a specified period. Reduce the number of MFA prompts users see and decrease the time it takes them to log in to their applications on trusted devices. Minimize MFA fatigue and streamline user experience by balancing security and usability.

Create Robust Custom Policies
Some applications require a special approach to authentication. Custom Policies is a special way to enforce such an approach. Let’s say you deem logins to Microsoft applications very important and want to enforce only the most secure authentication methods during Multi-Factor Authentication. To do that, simply create a new Custom Policy, set its name to Microsoft and set Authentication Methods to Mobile Push and FIDO. Then, assign your Microsoft policy to all your Microsoft applications. When logging into Office 365 or RDP, your Windows policy will take effect and your users will only see Mobile Push and FIDO as active methods. However, when logging into any other application that is not Microsoft, the Global Policy will come into force and all authentication methods will be available. This is just one simple example of copious possibilities that Custom Policies give you.
Manage Your Organization’s Security
Rublon MFA Policies is an integral part of Rublon Admin Console, a powerful management tool, which allows you to manage your company, users, applications and more. Rublon MFA Policies does not require any additional installation or deployment. You are ready to create and assign Policies after a short and easy Rublon Account Registration.
Control Access Based on Network Location
Allow users to bypass Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when accessing from trusted networks (e.g., from the office) and enforce MFA when accessing from untrusted networks (e.g., home or public networks). Ensure flexible access and seamless login within the acceptable perimeter like the office network, while requiring full-on MFA in remote access scenarios.

Control Access Based on Geographical Location
Control access and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirements based on the user’s geographical location. With the Geolocation Policy, you can bypass MFA, enforce MFA, or deny access, depending on the country from which the user is connecting. This enables flexible authentication experiences for trusted regions while enforcing stronger security where needed based on geographic risk.
